30. Up to 31 December 1994, the maximums of 5,500 kg, 7,250 kg, 13,000 kg and 14,000 kg prescribed by paragraph 1 of section 19 shall not apply to road vehicles of a model year prior to 1992 and that have not had, after 1 October 1991 any alteration made covered by section 214 of the Highway Safety Code (chapter C-24.2) and the maximum of 5,500 kg prescribed by section 25 shall be increased to 7,250 kg for those road vehicles.
